Code2Day is a new competition hosted by UTS Programmers' Society
and sponsored by American Express.
Teams of 3-6 will be given a theme and asked to
create any program they wish to demonstrate the theme over a weekend.
The teams have complete control over their choice of language,
paradigm, design and platform.
The winners will receive a cash prize as follows:
The applications are individually judged by selected members of the ProgSoc
executive team and American Express employees. The final score is an aggregate
of their sub scores.
The judging criteria is:

You simply register by clicking the large blue 'Register Here' button at the top of this page and enter the relevant information. Then, on the Welcome Evening you register your team details!
The Welcome Evening is a fun and compulsory event where you get the
chance to register as a team, meet other competitors, as well as
judges and representatives of both ProgSoc and American Express.
The event is held at the UTS Aerial Function Centre, and food and
alcohol is provided.

To the Welcome Event you need to bring your UTS Student ID. To the competition you should bring your UTS Student ID, all necessary hardware and software (including your own laptop), both for development and testing. It is your responsibility to ensure you have everything needed to code. While lunch and dinner will be provided, it is recommended you bring a drink bottle, snacks and nibblies anyway. The doors are not locked and you may come and go as you please, so you may go home for the night, as well as go to and from the shops for snacks or anything else you may need.
