"Events Coordinator" and "Marketing Director" created as Executive roles upon constitutional amendment at this year's AGM. The first Events Coordinator and Marketing Director were elected, shortly after the approval of the amendment, at the AGM.

A Special General Meeting was conducted on the 17th of May to replace the outgoing President.

All members of the Executive this year were elected unopposed. With the re-election of Chris Deigan to the role of Computer Systems Officer, this marks, as far as is currently known, the first time in ProgSoc history that an individual has served in the same Executive role three times (2011, 2017, 2018).

A second AGM was conducted in 2015, due to a Constitutional amendment at the 12th of March 2015 AGM, that moved AGMs from March to October, which also had the effect of truncating the term length of the previous Executive from one year to seven months.

First-Year Representative, Alumni Representative, Competitions Officer abolished as Executive roles, and recreated as Liaison roles (filled by Executive appointment), by Constitutional amendment at the 12th of March 2015 AGM.

Name of "Society Computer Administrator" role changed to "Computer Systems Officer" upon constitutional amendment. It is worth noting that, prior to the amendment, "Computer Systems Officer" was an informal nickname for the role ("Equipment Officer" was another). This was probably due to the widely-held belief that the constitutionally mandated title did not accurately describe the role, hence the change.

Public-Relations Officer role abolished upon constitutional amendment. The position was left vacant in anticipation of said amendment.
